Description:

Stroke: Conversations and Explanations

Researchers at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) have created Stroke: Conversations and Explanations. This DVD features two videos that depict the impact of stroke through the eyes of survivors and their spouses and provides the latest information on early detection, prevention, and treatment of strokes.

Living After Stroke: Conversations with Couples is an honest and poignant exploration of the impact of stroke on the lives of six couples. The couples, interviewed two to four years after their strokes, discuss the impact of the stroke on their lives and relationships.

Stroke: Early Recognition and Treatment is an in-depth exploration of stroke – warning signs, early treatment, and continuing recovery. Neurologists and stroke survivors lead the audience through firsthand accounts of stroke onset, the newest techniques for reducing brain damage through early intervention, and rehabilitative measures to retrain the body following a stroke.
